Be a part of an unforgettable evening of epicurean splendor showcasing the talents of over 25 of the best chefs from San Diego and Baja at the annual Chef Throwdown on Friday, September 28th from 6-11:30pm at the legendary Hotel del Coronado, benefiting Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The progressive evening will bring together local fashionable foodies awarding a ‘People’s Choice’ and a Culinary Council of San Diego notables, awarding the Chef Flor Franco Award for Culinary Excellence.
This year's hosts are TV personalities Melissa d'Arabian and Sam-the-Cooking-Guy, with a culinary council including: Fishmonger Tommy Gomes, Paella Fest Creator Armando Rodiel, Bluebridge Hospitality's David Spatafore, SDUT foodie Michele Parente, the Director of the Culinary Arts School Javier Gonzalez and chefs Javier Plascencia, Bernard Guillas, Jason McLeod and Stefan Peroutka.
$250 General admission tickets to the event include the Chef Throwdown food tasting, a 3-course dinner from Hotel del Coronado Executive Chef Stefan Peroutka, an after-party featuring desserts from the city's top pastry chefs and a voice and silent auction, all benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
$350 VIP tickets include all of the above, plus valet parking, private bar and meet & greet with Master French Chefs Patrick Ponsaty and Olivier Dubreuil. Guests will also receive a signed copy of the 'Master Chefs of France' cookbook.
Tickets to the nightcap only portion are available for $50.

6pm | Chefs Tasting | Featuring 25 San Diego and Baja chefs.
8pm | Dinner | A three course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Stefan Peroutka, first course prepared by French Master Olivier Dubreuil.
8:30pm | Hosted by Melissa D’Arabian, Food Network Star and Sam the Cooking Guy. The evening will include a live auction, bid for a cure and presentation of the Chef Throwdown awards. The Industry Leader award will be presented to Chef Works.
9:30pm | Nightcap | Featuring San Diego’s pastry chefs, cocktails and late night desserts with music by DJ Hevrock.
